Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to anyone who uses the Signect website or services — whether you're requesting communication support, registering as a communication professional, or browsing on behalf of an organisation or agency. By using Signect, you agree to these terms.

Signect coordinates communication support by connecting clients, organisations and agencies with independent communication professionals, including:

• BSL Interpreters
• Deaf Interpreters
• Lipspeakers
• Communication Support Workers
• Captioners
• Note Takers

• All booking requests are reviewed before they're confirmed.
• Submitting a request does not guarantee the availability of a communication professional.
• Confirmation of a booking will be provided to you separately, once a suitable professional has been arranged.

• Registering as a communication professional with Signect is free.
• Approval may be required before you can receive opportunities through the platform.
• Professionals are responsible for keeping their registration information accurate and up to date.

• Clients may cancel a submitted booking request before it has been confirmed.
• Different cancellation arrangements may apply once a booking has been confirmed with a professional.
• If you're unsure about cancelling a booking, please contact Signect and we'll help.

Where a booking involves payment, the payment arrangements will be agreed before the booking is confirmed. No payment obligation is created simply by submitting a request.

When using Signect, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Treat other users and communication professionals respectfully
• Use Signect lawfully and in line with these terms
• Protect your account credentials and keep them confidential

The Signect name, logo, branding, website content and software remain the property of Signect, unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our permission.

Signect coordinates communication support but does not guarantee that a request will always be fulfilled, or that a service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signect is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as Signect's services develop. Where we make significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Signect after any changes means you accept the updated terms.
